I'm one week away from my first class day at ACC for 3D Modeling and Rendering and already I want to get started. I've been so excited trying to get everything together, from actually selecting and paying for the course to attempting to get approval for a schedule change from my employer. There was once or twice when I thought I'd have to cancel the course and try again next semester, but everything seems to be in motion now.
Now that everything is set, I'm very anxious to know what the first project will be. Most likely just making some rudimentary shapes on a 3D plane. I've worked with 3D studio Max before, and while I know a lot about the program already, I don't mind working from the ground up and relearning some of the basic functions of whatever program we may be using. What I really look forward to is character design, and I really hope the course gets that far.
What I'm planning for this journal is to share my experiences as I go through the class and to post images of my course work as I work on them. I'm mainly doing this for myself, and would feel completely fine if not a soul saw this blog, but I guess having something online is a way to keep myself accountable and actually following through with this project.
So wish me luck. I'm trying to find a list of books now, but they have not been posted at the bookstore yet. I contacted the two lecturers (very hard to say), and I'm waiting on their reply now...
Yep still no reply... nothing yet.... wait.. No I don't want to know how to increase....
Well no word on that yet, but as soon as I find out, I'll let you know what I'm reading. =)
